Aphids. Yum. Would you believe it? Ants were colonizing my (What do you call these?) I read somewhere that ants keep aphids to "milk" like cattle? Can this be true?
So I went to the lady bug store and got a pint of them. Lady bugs LOVE aphids.
But first I went to Michael's and got this new toy with my 50% off coupon. It chops out these strips and you roll them up to make a flower. Below are the first two flowers I made, but something wasn't right. All of the petals seemed to be clumped together in three clumps. SO. I read the directions. (When all else fails...) OH! It said to chop out two strips and glue them together Off-Set, then roll them up around a pencil. I used a bit of glue, too.
It is probably better to let the glue dry between. each step, but I'll never know that. It has been established that I am not the patient type.
This one is much better! I made a few stamen for the center. Now What shall I do with them? Let's see... They'll look pretty on a wrapped gift. Is it anyone's birthday?
