Thanksgiving 2010: The People, The Food; The Thankful Game.

This year we gathered at Jen and Rob's Home;
"Scarlet's Run"
What you do when your oven bites the dust on T-giving Eve
The People.
The Food
The Thankful Game.
Everyone writes what they are thankful for on a strip of paper. Then Each person draws a paper out of the bowl.

Then everyone guesses who wrote the "Thankfuls." It can be touching or hilarious or naughty. Each year is different!
Oh, yeah, I brought the "White Trash Potatoes" which is a Holiday Staple!

There weren't any left over.
Never are.

A Mountain Man Prepares For Winter

Splitter

Roll it over toward the porch.
Carry it up to the wood holding thingie.

"You COULD put that damn camera down and pick up some wood, too, you know."
So I picked this piece up, but alas it was the WRONG KIND of wood.
All stacked up.
And a trash can full of kindling.
Winter.
BRING IT!

Who knew there would be a Wrong Kind of Wood?

Blockin' Up The Scenery, Breakin' My Mind

Do this. Don't do that.
Can't you read the signs?
Long haired freaky bats, who do tractor wheelies need not apply.

He, who Always Keeps Things Interesting Here In the Foothills

Rob is at it again.
This time he has outdone himself.
After years of teasing me about my excessive Yard Art,
He is creating some of his own.
It has caused a bit of a fuss around here. Apparently, when one puts two crashed up airplanes in one's upper pasture that is by the road, the fire captain will come to see what the heck is going on.
When the display is completed, I'll post a photograph.

Honoring Veterans in Tulsa International Airport

Great display of heroes. Richard added his brother's name for his three trips to Vietnam.
Thank you, Heroes.

Livin' On Tulsa Time

Oklahoma Indulgence! It doesn't get any better!
While I was gone the Blogspot people messed with my bidness. I am sure I'll like it when I figure it out. My next few posts might be strange, but then again when haven't they been?
The two people in front are brother and sister. The people in back? Well, they let us hang out with them.

More Tulsa Time

That's odd. We live off of 44 in Ca! Why did we have to fly on two different planes to get here? Still off of 44.
I got to spend a whole day with my good friend Judy. We have been friends since grade school.
We went to an art fair. I didn't feel that they would like for me to be taking pictures of their art secrets, so I refrained...except for these two.
Now WHY didn't I get a photo of the two of us together?
Probably alzheimers. Probably because we were so busy visiting and enjoying the day!
I have one more thing to say; Changing time zones and changing from Daylight Savings Time to Standard has screwed up my inner time bidness. Odd. I am not even "Into" Time to begin with. Why should I care?
