This is Indy. He's a Good Kisser!

...as long as there is a fish waiting for him after!

We have been in the Bahamas.  On the Island called The Grand Bahama, to be exact.  We had a great time and I am going to tell you all about it as soon as I retrieve my photos from my laptop.

I shouldn't have deleted them from my camera.  What was I thinking!

As for the above experience, my sis and I went first, which made it all the more special.

Plus,

The other firsts were a family of 7 so it took the other trainer much longer to get through all those kids so we had a long visit with Indy, (So named because he was born on the 4th of July--He's a July thing too!!)

We looked into his eyes and petted him and rubbed his tummy and told him how beautiful he was.  We also got a kiss on the lips, too!  It was an amazing experience.  So sweet.

Meet My Front Yard

My NorCal Granddaughter rearranged my yard art and then went around and took pictures of her handiwork.

She plans to own a bed and breakfast one day.  She loves to decorate for all seasons.
I'll certainly be excited to stay at her B&B
 She's a bang-up photographer, too, Don't you think?

It's All About The Journey

                            This banner says 'TRAVEL"
The little pennant thingies are heavy cardboard covered with maps and I decoupaged them on with Mod Podge.  (Of course.)
I used a brown stamp pad to "age" them around the edges.
Then I stamped them with Stazon ink and embossed them.
Then I hot glued them to a burlap streamer.
I got letters to spell out the word "Travel" and texturized them with string and chunks of
burlap and a few buttons, and then I spray painted them green.
Grandy asks, Why is everything about travel?  I told her that travel is continuing my education!

Next stop? The Bahamas.  Now that will be an education!

The Pokey Bush Is Acting Up!

This was just a typical plant that I brought up here from Southern California when we moved.   I gave most of my plants to my daughter, but The Pokey Bush" had a little spot in my heart.  When Rachel, my granddaughter was a wee tot, I used to swing her and that bush was close by and we used to play, "Watch Out For the Pokey Bush!"
This is actually an offspring of the original plant.  For seven years it just sat here being a plant.
I came out one morning and it had grown a protrusion.  Something like a century plant, only smaller.
Soon it was taller than I am.  I took it's photo every day.
Then yesterday it got these white flowers on it.
                            Here they are up close.
My garden is having a lot of fun this year.

She's Having A Baby!!

                                   See it?
Speaking of babies.  This one was here when I went out to hose off my front deck.  I understand that they are worse than the adult ones.  I hosed him and he went under the deck.  Dogs are going in for rattle snake immunizations tomorrow.   Snakes.  Why did it have to be snakes. -Indiana Jones
Look at these guys.  They are some kind of weird poppy.
