We Were Like Kids in a Candy Store!

I was playing with my sisters and my mama this weekend, and therefore out of range of my blogging machine.
We went to Auburn, Placerville, and to the Bray Winery for some tasting.
We were Brazen Hussies. Even Mama!

I took this on my way out of town. It is near my home and every time I pass it I laugh.
Congested?
They ought to visit L.A.

Love those peanut patties...(Peanut Rounders) and just discovered that Walgreens still has them. Of course then my thighs will look like Miss Thunder Thighs doll in your pic - especially when I top it off with a Grapette. Have you seen Grapettes anywhere and did you drink them growing up OK?

Wow oh wow ...I'd love to visit that store! I remember getting a paper bag filled with penny candy for 10 cents and then hitting the gumball machine ouside with a couple of pennies and getting a gumball and a toy charm for each turn of the dial. Those were the sweet days of childhood. :-)

Congested? LOL!!!

That candy looks tempting! Sounds like you had a lot of fun. I remember walking up to our neighborhood beer and wine store for penny candy. I would take 10 cents or if I was lucky, a quarter - I so looked forward to that little trip!

Love the 'congested area' sign!

Alert, alert...The Last Night in Twisted River...John Irving...new book.
Costco had it. I have two books on the go right now so I will have to read it after.

Sounds like you girls had a great trip! Love the photos! I live in a small town but commute into the "city". It cracks me up when my sister calls me on her lunch hour to tell me about the traffic rush downtown in the small town. She should see what it's like the the city...and we're not even as big as L.A.
