My cherished daughter loves denim and loves to cook. Her sweet hubby, Louie is Dutch. I wrote "Kiss the cook" and "And they lived happily ever after" in Dutch, and gave it to her for Christmas.
I used an old pair of overall shorts and cut hearts from various red materials from my "stash" and put them on. One of the hearts is from a patterned material that I used to make her a toy when she was a child. When she saw it she said, "I know this material!"
I put the buckles on the pockets and used buttons and bows to finish it.
I got the idea from one of my favorite magazines, Cloth, Paper, Scissors (Feb, 2008). I get many of my ideas from CPS and the Somerset collections. They are wonderful publications!
