My cherished daughter loves denim and loves to cook. Her sweet hubby, Louie is Dutch. I wrote "Kiss the cook" and "And they lived happily ever after" in Dutch, and gave it to her for Christmas.I used an old pair of overall shorts and cut hearts from various red materials from my "stash" and put them on. One of the hearts is from a patterned material that I used to make her a toy when she was a child. When she saw it she said, "I know this material!"
I put the buckles on the pockets and used buttons and bows to finish it.
I got the idea from one of my favorite magazines, Cloth, Paper, Scissors (Feb, 2008). I get many of my ideas from CPS and the Somerset collections. They are wonderful publications!
