Tapdancing in the Town Square in Christchurch, New Zealand

I felt so good, I just wanted to do a tap dance in the center of town on the Square.  Now it's full of rubble and sadness.  sigh.

This is the steeple on the cathedral in Christchurch, New Zealand.  I just heard on the news that it fell in the earthquake.  Can this really be true?

It is true. I saw the pictures and news reports this morning! The steeple is rubble in the street. :(

Tragic and heartbreaking.

This is so tragic. My BIL is from Christchurch, and slowly but surely he has been getting word from his family there that they are ok, but the city is a mess. Kat

I was away and saw no news for a few days.
These things happen so quickly and leave everyone just shaking their heads and trying to digest the enormity of the destruction. The loss of life is heartbreaking and the loss of historical buildings such a shame. Buildings that have survived for hundreds of years gone in a moment. So sad.

Thanks so much for your very kind......word.....I am so flattered!

It must be nice to know though, that you have seen such beauty firsthand. What a shame for the people of Christchurch. The earth is definitely doing its unhappy dance lately.
