You Don't Miss The Water Til The Well Runs Dry

This is what is going on in my world right now.
Our pump in the well quit. While I was taking these pictures I had this conversation with one of the well guys.
Me: This is going on my blog!
WG: Wut?
Me: Never mind.
This is the well house.
Crane.
The well house is next to my studio. These pipes came out of the well hole. Funny. I always thought wells had a round brick wall around them and a bucket on a rope to drop down into them.

A Picture of Hope

I JUST took this picture off of my back porch. It is a rather gloomy day, but out there, across the creek, there is a little purple bush. It is my signal that spring is on its way. If you give the picture a little Clicky, you can see it better.

Pink Saturday Shoes

See Bev for more pinkness
These shoes are supposed to make me look better, but so far I still look like an old lady. They are the new Fitness Shoes and please note that they are Sketchers and NOT Nike!

I won't get Nike Anything ever again. because they sponsor Michael Vick and I simply can not abide cruelty to animals.

AN-y-way, they ARE pink!

Stud Muffins

Once upon a time I had some pictures of my favorite stud muffins taped up on the inside of my kitchen cabinets. This particular cabinet had a picture of Dennis Quaid pointing at his belly button. I have no idea why he was pointing at his belly button, nor did I care.
One night friends were over and our friend, Glenn wanted to be on the cabinet door so his wife, (my GTF) and I fixed him up and took his picture. From that point on every guy who came over to our house wanted to be on the cabinet.
We have a cop, several school principals, a judge, a school board member, a CPA, a medical doctor, a guy visiting from Germany, a couple of surfers, a body builder, a couple of computer nerds, and my grandson, Jack. It was a lot of fun, and that's the thing, isn't it?

Too Much Easter Crap?

Is it possible?
Yes.
So. See?
I wasn't being rude to Kelly!

I will also tell you that I gave a bunch MORE away when we moved.

So. Crap. One of the perks of being old.
That. ...and being able to pick out good mushrooms.
The bunnies above, in the back of the picture, are wearing clothing that my grandies wore whrn they were little!

Enough is enough!

We Olive In a Yellow Submarine.

This is a new store in El Dorado Hills.
They sell Olive oil and other related goodies.
You can take your own bottle and fill it up there, or of course you can use one of their bottles.
They have THE BEST Balsamic Vinegar. Sounds odd, even to me. But it tastes like it is made of plums. They gave us some brownies that had been made with mandarin olive oil (I KNOW!!!) and they were delicious!
I understand there are some more "We Olive" stores about. I can not vouch for them but this one is run by a very friendly family. We were excited to find that we don't have to drive to Napa Valley for fresh olive oil now.

Letter to the Weather Bookie

Dear Weather Dude,
Will you pu'leeze stop putting those big L's in the sky above my home? Remember last week when you put the big H up there? It was so sunny and lovely outside that I spontaneously broke out into singing "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning." Now go. Change that danged L to an H.
I want this sky back.

Moon

Returning home after having "Linner" in town with some old--no wait--make that "Long Time" Friends, there was a gigantic moon in the late afternoon sky. I wanted to capture it, but all I got was this little dot. Wish you had been there! It was amazing.
