Roosters

This cloisonne guy came home in my suitcase from China.
He kept saying, "Pick ME! Pick ME!!"
So I picked him.

The pewter measuring spoons were a gift from my grandchildren.
How did they know!

The other little hangie roosters are usually found on my rear view mirror.

The rooster pictures are hanging in my kitchen.

All of these roosters are important because I was born in the year of the rooster.
I have been known to crow.

The last rooster, seen here with two of his wives, tries to awaken me at a decent hour.

He fails.

I am checking out the rooster to see which ones are the same as mine. None. Your pictured one with the polka dots is the same as some plates and mugs I have that I forgot to photograph.
Sullivan & Murphy has the same picture too with a matching one.

Mighty fine feathers you have. Love them all. We are building a chicken coop (the Romantic Roost) right now but my plans are to have no rooster. But like you, I don't think he would wake me up. :) Happy Friday.

Roosters Rule! The nearest one to my house is over the back fence. Sometimes I'm up early enough to hear him. That's also where "Smokey" lives. He's the blue merle dachshund puppy who cried last Saturday for an hour because he wasn't getting enough attention. Sounded like he was in dire distress. What a drama queen he is.

Beautiful roosters. You did "anthropomorphize" them. That's a new word that someone left on my blog!!!

Thanks for the lovely comments and the great word!

Hi Lynn. I forgot to check out your roosters when I visited this morning. I think I like the live ones the best. I love animals, but I'm not sure I could live with roosters. I like to sleep in the morning!

Lynn,
Thanks for coming by.

I love the rooster in that second picture.

And, since you like clocks that do not work, cause you are not 'in' to time, you'd like several i have. I just love how they look and do not care if they work.

blessings and smiles,

barbara jean

for some reason these roosters are speaking to me!!!

better in inanimate form, i say! i used to live near a rooster while i was in college, and that was TORTURE for the first couple of months (i am NOT a morning person!).

The little rooster from China gets my vote! Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry I'm so late arriving. It's been a busy weekend away from the computer!
I also enjoyed reading your Pink Saturday post.

If you have time, stop by my place for some more rooster fun. Sarah @ hyacinthforthesoul.blogspot.com

Lynn, Okay, I thought I already left a message. Where did it go? I have that problem all the time. So, because I am tired you won't hear the story of why my cat, Petey, was on top of the cupboards and broke my chicken pitcher. It glued back. Well, most of it. I love the pictures from the fair. I especially liked the hair shots. I think I'll show Rich the one that is combed from the back. And, the chain mail dress --YES! It's shinny, and back in the day. I never wondered why Petey was on the cupboards, because back in the day, he conquered. We had rats. But, we won. My other comment was better. Maybe next time. Thanks for putting my picture on the top when everyone knows that the one from China is better. It's shinny.
